Greater Rochester Obesity Collaborative (GROC)

Status: Complete

WHAT: A project to improve the identification and management of care for children who are overweight and obese in Monroe County, NY.

WHO: The collaborative involved 17 pediatric practices.

WHEN: April 2008 to April 2010

FUNDER: This project was funded by the Greater Rochester Health Foundation in partnership with the Children’s Hospital University of Rochester Medical Center as part of a Center for the Prevention of Childhood Obesity.

NICHQ'S ROLE: Facilitated a Breakthrough Series learning collaborative to apply quality improvement methodology to obesity prevention.
